Magazine layout is fun - but I can't even begin to imagine how stressful it must be. This page contains my redesign of "Royalty Monthly," a magazine that needed restyling.
The concept was pretty simple. "Royalty Monthly" is basically a bunch of large photos with captions. It's a fan magazine of royalty from around the world. I wanted to keep the emphasis on the photography, but clean up the typography (they have a tendancy to use bolded, italicized, drop-shadowed type) and add a lot more white space.
The following is my main article for the issue, about the late Princess Grace of Monaco. I was fortunate enough to find amazing photos of her online and pieced together a pretty interesting article.
